First Things First: Airplane Tickets

Okay, let's start off this blog with a post about how you are going to arrive at your new home...

Actually, I was debating whether to post something about renting houses first or air tickets, but whatever. I'll just blog about the renting /buying houses in the next time I post, so look out for that!

If you are a frequent traveller to Australia, you would usually be experienced enough to book your tickets beforehand. For those who are not in the know though, here’s why it’s so difficult to get tickets to Australia around the end of the year: Convocation

Australia is a pretty popular destination for students wanting to do their degrees in a good university. These students include both Permanent Residents who do their High School years overseas and International Students. There are 37 universities in Australia and there are thousands of students in each university. Each year, these thousands of students graduate from their courses and who attends their convocation? Their parents and families of course!

Imagine the number of airplane tickets being booked?

I have heard that these parents already start booking their tickets in July. And the convocation is in December! So if you want to get a ticket for your family, better be quick and book earlier. The early bird catches the worm, no? I’m not kidding when I say that you won’t be able to get a ticket later on in the year. And while you’re at it, book your return tickets too if needed, or you won’t have a ticket to get back to your country.
